6 Simple Steps to Washing Lingerie

Bras, panties, and sleepwear are all delicate items that deserve to be treated with care. Give them the same care they give you by cleaning them using our gentle stain-removal techniques, lingerie detergent, and preservation methods to keep them looking lovely for a long time. Follow these simple instructions to keep your lingerie looking brand new for years.

For Washing Lingerie, You’ll Need:

  • Wash & Stain Bar
  • Wash Tub Basin
  • Delicate Wash
  • Mesh Bag Bundle
  • Jiffy Steamer
  • Delicate Spray

Step 1: Sort

Choose by material and construction. Lace items, cushioned push-ups, and supportive underwire or structure should always be hand-washed, whereas non-wire, cotton, and sports intimates can be machine washed. Only wash with like colours in the same load.

Step 2: Treat Stains

With the Wash & Stain Bar, you can easily remove stains from body oils, make-up, and skincare items like lotions and self-tanner. Wet the bar and massage it into stain-susceptible straps, underwire, bands, and underwear liners with a gentle lather. Always use cold water to treat blood stains.

Step 3: Handwash

Handwashing is the most effective and safest approach to washing bras, fine lace, and silk textiles. Add 2 capfuls or a squirt of our Delicate Wash to a wash tub basin or sink filled with cool to warm water for handwashing lingerie.

Submerge the item in the water and gently massage it with your hands to distribute the soap evenly. Soak for up to 30 minutes.

Rinse it thoroughly by running cold water over it until the water is no longer soapy. Do not wring. Instead, press the water out of the goods using a clean towel or piece of clothing.

Step 4: Or Machine Wash

Do you have a lot of laundries to do and not enough time? Fasten the bands closed while washing in the machine to retain elasticity and avoid ripping and snagging. Choose the delicate cycle, low spin, and cold water from the machine’s menu. Then put in the right amount of lingerie wash, which we recommend using Delicate Wash for machines with smaller loads. This detergent is made to clean delicate fabrics like lingerie delicately at home, keeping them silky smooth and supple.

Step 5: Air Dry

Dry pieces flat on a drying rack. The high heat of the dryer will cause the cloth’s elasticity and moisture-wicking capabilities to diminish.

Skip the iron to get rid of creases. For a perfect finish, steam intimates and delicate lingerie as desired.

Between wearing and washing, refresh with a delicate mist.

Step 6: The Perfect Fit

To keep their fit, store bras in their original form. Do you have a limited amount of space? To prevent deforming the construction, fold bras one cup into the other smoothing out lumps or dents.
